The Apprentice Store is an IT Managed Service Provider based in Inverness in Scotland. We provide provide Remote IT Support, Development and Cyber Security advice to businesses from across the UK. We were formed in 2016 as a social enterprise to create the opportunity of sustainable employment to young people with barriers entering the workforce. We have a diverse and expanding client base from the public, private and third sectors with our technical services team specialising in Microsoft technology and WordPress.

Due to an increased demand on our quality services and our planned growth, we are wanting to add a new and experienced resource to our remote IT support team. The role offers a range of opportunities to gain experience with Microsoft technologies and passing on knowledge to those entering the sector as part of our social purpose.
The role is working in our remote IT support team that is based in our Inverness office. The remote IT support team cares for our clients that are mostly small businesses and use Microsoft 365 for their data storage and eMail services. We have clients from across the UK from a very diverse range of business sectors. Working with smaller businesses requires that there is a need for direct contact with end users and the need to support a range of data systems.
The remote IT support team assists our client with their support incidents but also requests for new service. All incidents are delivered within a service level agreement with care. New service requests involves business needs analysis needing to be completed to ensure that the right solution is proposed for the client. The remote IT support team manages the sales process that relate to their team by assisting clients with any questions.
Whilst many of our clients operate from the Cloud, some operate with on premise servers and network infrastructure. Support services for these on premise network services include Microsoft Server, Microsoft Active Directory, routers, switches and Wireless Networks.

Whilst we are looking for a candidate with experience, organisational cultural fit is very important to us so please apply even if you do not meet the ideal candidate attributes which are:
- 5 years experience of supporting a diverse client base in a remote support role
- 5 years experience of Microsoft 365 user and license management, including Azure AD
- Diverse experience in management of Microsoft 365
- Experience of migrating services to Microsoft 365
- Experience in the support of on premise Microsoft Active Directory based networks
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to support the development of others
Nice to have
- VLAN configuration and management experience
- PowerShell experience
- Microsoft Certification
- Experience in Cyber Essentials Certification
- Knowledge of ITIL
- Experience of working in an IT MSP
Annual Salary: £33,000 – £37,000 subject to experience
Working Hours : 0900-1700 Mon-Fri
Flexible Working: This is not a remote working role as we meet regularly as a team and work with hybrid working practices.
